This endeavor is part of a larger program to raise public awareness toward the negative implication of overexposure to UV light. The UVI ranges from 0 to ≥11 ( Table 2.1 ). The UV index is a linear scale; each increase in value corresponds to a constant decrease in time to sunburn.
