N-linked glycan mass
WebFeb 7, 2024 · All N-glycans have two core GlcNAcs and three mannose residues that make up the trimannosyl core; F indicates a core fucose; Ax, where x- number of antenna (GlcNAc) on the trimannosyl core; Gx, where x- number of linked galactose on antenna; Sx, where x- number of sialic acids linked to galactose. WebWe present MSFragger-Glyco, a glycoproteomics mode of the MSFragger search engine, for fast and sensitive identification of N- and O-linked glycopeptides and open glycan searches. Reanalysis of recent N-glycoproteomics data resulted in annotation of 80% more glycopeptide-spectrum matches (glycoPSMs) than previously reported.

First, two N-acetylglucosamineresidues are attached to dolichol monophosphate, a lipid, on the external side of the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. Five mannose residues are then added to this structure.
